Harmony InSpires is a ladies
a capella chorus, which sings 4-part harmony; performing songs in a wide variety of styles - including songs from musicals, pop classics and beautiful ballads. We formed in 2007, and have since grown to about 40 members. We come from all walks of life but are united in an enjoyment of music making.
We are now back to normal with weekly rehearsals at Marcham Centre and section practices. We are also continuing to practice our craft and develop our skills through a range of solo activities that we learned during the last two years.
We love to perform and we participate in various sing-outs and competitions throughout the year, including the national convention of the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers (LABBS).
In addition to having fun, we work hard to improve our singing and performance; regularly receiving tuition from top coaches (such as Sally McLean in the photo above).
Have you enjoyed singing at some stage in your life but let it lapse? Or maybe you currently sing but would like to try a different voice part, or have a go at 4-part unaccompanied harmony? We can help you re-discover your voice or learn new skills. The ability to read music is not essential as we provide learning tracks to help you to learn a song quickly.
We welcome new members to join us in our hobby and would love the chorus to keep growing so that as many ladies as possible can have the fun we have.
